The sun is good once again
This project started in response to the recent solar eclipse seen in the southern hemisphere. One moderator suggested that we need to get much more sun. Let's review the past and current research and advice regarding exposure to the sun.

What our bodies make versus what's recommended.

I find this information stunning and it makes me wonder if the recommended daily amounts are accurate.  Look at the numbers below; studies tell us that our bodies will make 10,000 to 25,000 IUs of vitamin D in a very short period of time when exposed to sunlight. However, the recommended daily amount of vitamin D ranges all over the board from 400 to 5000 IUs per day. This tells me that the recommendations are way too low as per what our bodies naturally make when exposed to the proper amount of sunlight.
