Collaborating on Projects with CoSearchers

Collaboration Overview
One of the most Powerful Tools that CoKnown has to offer is the ability to Collaborate on Projects with other People.
People you collaborate with are called CoSearchers.CoSearcher Icon

CoSearchers can Add SmartMarks and NoteBoxes to your Projects.
Just add someone to your CoSearcher List and then Give them Add rights or above.

To add CoSearchers:
(1) Click the CoSearchers Menu
(2) Click on add CoSearcher
      OR you can click the same button on their Profile Page.
Your CoSearchers will show CoSearcher

Note: Your list of CoSearchers is Independent of Permissions.
You can set permissions for CoSearchers on a Project by Project basis.

To manage CoSearcher Permissions.
(1) From Your Projects Dashboard click cosearcher icon
OR on your Project's page click cosearcher-icon

Grant CoSearcher's Permission with a Button Click
PROJECT Permission Levels:
permission-none CoSearchers can't see Full page captures or Inline Histories
Nor can they see Restricted or Hidden Projects

permission read Your CoSearcher can view your Project and see
Full saved pages. This is how you can share Restricted and
Hidden Projects. The Project will also show in their
Projects List.

permission-add  Your Project will show in your CoSearchers Toolbar and on their Project List.
They can Add SmartMarks and Noteboxes
They can only edit their Noteboxes.

permission-modify  Your CoSearcher can edit SmartMarks and
Noteboxes and change the Order of items on Custom Lists.
They can Edit other CoSearchers Noteboxes and SmartMarks

permission delete CoSearchers can delete Inline Histories & demote SmartMarks

permission full  Full permission to do anything on the Project.
Note: Only the Project owner can set Permissions.


permissions blocked Blocked - When you block a CoSearcher you remove ALL access to ALL Projects.
If you only want to stop a CoSearcher from seeing a single project, just change their Permission to None.

UnBlocking a CoSearcher - Giving a CoSearcher any Permission level when they are in the Blocked Group will return access to all Projects with previous permissions.

Their Photo and Name are links to their Profile page

email button Click the Email icon to send them a quick email.

 

Asking for Help on a Project
(1) Email a Cosearcher your Project and ask them for help. Make sure to grant them Add rights or above so that they can Add to your Project.
(2) Post a request on Your Profile page.
